One qualified candidate will be selected for the prestigious title and receive $20K for their new role, plus a year’s supply of Nutri-Grain® Power-Fulls to be prepared for any hangry moments all year long.
What was the brand’s inspiration behind creating the Head of Hanger Management Contest?

This hangry truth inspired the brand to create the Head of Hanger Management Contest for fans who demonstrate excellence in preventing hanger before it happens – just like Nutri-Grain®'s Power-Fulls.
How do I enter the Head of Hanger Management contest?
From May 6 to June 14, 2024, visit NutriGrainHangerManagement.com and apply for the chance to become Nutri-Grain®’s Head of Hanger Management. To apply for the contest, complete the application’s entry fields including personal information and written responses about how you combat hanger in your household. Candidates can go above and beyond on their application by submitting an optional video sharing why they would be the ideal Head of Hanger Management. See here for Official Rules.
Are entrants who submit an optional video more likely to win?
Candidates who submit an optional video are not necessarily more likely to win the Head of Hanger Management Contest, however a quality video shows us that the candidate is willing to go above and beyond to prevent hangriness and could potentially Power Up their application.

Who is eligible to apply?
The Head of Hanger Management Contest is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at time of entry. See here for Official Rules.
Do you have to be a parent to be considered?
This contest is not limited to parents. After all, hangriness happens to the best of us. Any legal U.S. residents who are eighteen (18) years of age or older can apply for the prestigious Head of Hanger Management title by sharing tips and tricks for preventing hanger before it strikes. Do you have to purchase any Nutri-Grain® products or Nutri-Grain® Power-Fulls to be considered for the application?
No purchase is necessary to apply for the Head of Hanger Management title.
How will the contest be judged and what are the judging criteria?
All entries will be equally evaluated on a rolling basis. Upon promotion close, eligible entries will be narrowed down to a list of the top five semi-finalists. The applications of these semi-finalists will be reviewed by a panel of judges consisting of Nutri-Grain® brand representatives based on the below five categories. These criteria will determine who is named the Head of Hanger Management and receives the $20k cash prize and year’s supply of Nutri-Grain® Power-Fulls:
- Relevance to prompt (10%): How closely does the entry answer the prompt? Is it on topic?
- Explanation (25%): How strong is the entrant’s justification for why they should be the Head of Hanger
- Creativity (25%): How creative is the entry? Did the entrant incorporate anything unique or stand-out?
- Quality (25%): How high of quality is the entry? Think: level of thoughtfulness, clear to understand etc. Do they demonstrate effort and an eye for quality?
- Brand Fit (15%): Do they mention Nutri-Grain® directly or otherwise seem to fit Nutri-Grain's overall tone/brand story?
What will the winner receive?
One winner will be selected to be the official Head of Hanger Management. The individual will receive a $20,000 cash prize and a year’s supply of new Nutri-Grain® Power-Fulls.
How will the winner receive their prize?
The Head of Hanger Management contest winner will receive a year’s supply of Nutri-Grain® Power-Fulls (24 boxes total) delivered to them on a quarterly basis via UPS ground and a cash prize of $20K paid by check.
How long will it take for me to receive my prize?
Prize rollout will begin shortly after the winner is named the Head of Hanger Management. The year’s supply of Nutri-Grain® Power-Fulls will be delivered approximately every three months (four rounds of 6 boxes), starting in either July or August and dependent upon the winner fulfilling Head of Hanger Management expectations outlined in the official rules. The winner will also receive the monetary prize via check once their Head of Hanger Management responsibilities are complete.
Will I be required to claim the prize on my taxes?
Yes, because the prize amount exceeds $600, winners will be required to claim the prize winnings as taxable income. Winners will be provided with a 1099 for tax purposes. See here for Official Rules.
Why wasn’t I selected to win?
While we wish we could reward all our fans, the Head of Hanger Management Contest allows for one winner to be chosen based on the relevance, explanation, creativity and quality of their submission, as well as their overall brand fit for Nutri-Grain®. If you are not selected to be the Head of Hanger Management, you can still manage hanger in your life with the new Nutri-Grain® Power-Fulls, now available at retailers nationwide.
What does the Head of Hanger Management opportunity entail?
As an expert in preventing hangriness before it happens, Nutri-Grain® will partner with the Head of Hanger Management to share their expertise with the masses. To do so, the Head of Hanger Management will collaborate with Nutri-Grain on at least four (4) pieces of social content for managing hanger in the household, either in the form of written tips, static imagery and/or video. Content will be shared from August – December 2024 and could be shared to Nutri-Grain's social media channels or website. Content supplied by the winner should incorporate mutually approved brand key messages that follow the Head of Hanger Management program brief (to be provided at a later date), Nutri-Grain Power-Fulls product (supplied by brand), and feature the winner and/or their family members. The Head of Hanger Management will also brainstorm and collaborate with Nutri-Grain on product innovation ideas that further combat hangriness. See NutriGrainHangerManagement.com for more details.
How long will the Head of Hanger Management hold this title?
The selected Head of Hanger Management will complete responsibilities within a year of receiving the title. See NutriGrainHangerManagement.com for exact duties and obligations.
Can I feature another individual or a third-party object in my submission?
Submissions may include the entrant themselves, but may not feature any third party’s name, image, likeness or voice without explicit consent. The submission also cannot contain copyrighted materials owned by others (including music, photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media).
